Is play still fun? Warning signs, help lines and our limits
Is play still fun, or has it started to run you? We treat gambling as paid entertainment. It never earns income, and only money you can afford to lose belongs in it.
Warning signs
- You play longer or spend more than you planned.
- You chase losses with bigger deposits.
- You hide play from family or friends.
- Gambling replaces sleep, work or other plans.
- You feel restless or irritable when you stop.
Getting help
- Gamblers Anonymous holds meetings in person, online and by telephone; use its meeting finder to pick one.
- The gambling help line of your own country is the quickest route to a trained adviser.
- Our live chat is open 24/7 if you want to talk through the tools below.
Our control tools
- Deposit limits: daily, weekly or monthly. A decrease applies immediately, and an increase takes effect after 24 hours.
- Self-exclusion: a fixed period from 3 months to 5 years, or indefinite. Reversing an indefinite exclusion needs a 7-day wait.
- Betting history: visible in your account.
- Session reminders and loss limits are not part of our tools.
Our site is for adults only: you must be 18 or older.
